Beginning his academic journey at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Dr. Allan earned a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. His passion for healthcare led him to acquire a doctorate in dental medicine from UBC, where he distinguished himself by graduating among the top of his class.

Dr. Allan's interest in living in a small town led him to a General Practice Residency, a comprehensive training program that exposed him to a variety of healthcare settings. His rotations at institutions like the Vancouver General Hospital, BC Children’s Hospital, BC Cancer, as well as long-term care homes and multiple oral surgery centers, provided him with a diverse and hands-on experience in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, oral pathology, intravenous sedation, and managing dental emergencies.

With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Dr. Allan is deeply committed to enhancing patient care. His dedication and proficiency have earned him privileges at the Elk Valley Hospital and a role as a dental consultant for BC Cancer. These positions allow him to make a significant impact on patient outcomes.

Outside his professional realm, Dr. Allan revels in the joys of fatherhood, cherishing moments with his beautiful daughter. Though time might be scarce, he always takes advantage of every opportunity to embrace the outdoors, whether ski touring or mountain biking.
